El Instituto Nacional de la Juventud (Injuv) es un organismo público chileno, funcionalmente descentralizado, con personalidad jurídica y patrimonio propio, que se relaciona con el Presidente de la República a través del Ministerio de Desarrollo Social. Fue creado el 16 de febrero de 1991 por la Ley 19042, firmada por el presidente Patricio Aylwin, y reemplazó a la Secretaría Nacional de la Juventud, creada por la dictadura militar en 1973

Por medio del presente texto se analiza la problemática juvenil en el contexto de la transición democrática, abordando educación, trabajo, participación, cultura y equidad social. Expone los lineamientos del Gobierno en materia de políticas juveniles, igualdad de oportunidades educativas y fortalecimiento institucional. Asimismo, destaca el rol de la juventud en la reconstrucción democrática y en el desarrollo futuro del país
