Biographical history
Durante la década siguiente su trabajo será exhibido en distintas ciudades de Europa y América, destacando su participación en tres versiones de la Bienal de Sao Paulo (1955, 1957 y 1959). La circulación nacional e internacional de su obra se intensificará en años posteriores, a lo que se sumará la adjudicación de importantes premios y reconocimientos, entre ellos, los dos Premios del Círculo de Críticos de Arte de Chile (1956 y 1988), el Wolf al Mejor Pintor Latinoamericano en la V Bienal de Sao Paulo (1957) y la Condecoración al Mérito Docente y Cultural Gabriela Mistral (1993).
