Biographical history
Obispo católico. Estudió Filosofía y Teología en Friburgo (Suiza), y fue ordenado sacerdote el 16 de julio de 1961 en Friburgo por el obispo Manuel Larraín. Ingresó a los Padres de Schoenstatt en 1965 y desempeñó labores pastorales en varias regiones.
Fue obispo auxiliar de Santiago, luego de San Felipe y finalmente de Temuco. Líder comprometido con la justicia social, defensor de los derechos humanos y promotor de la educación y el diálogo intercultural. Su legado incluye importantes cargos eclesiásticos, formación universitaria y activa defensa de comunidades vulnerables.
